Lunch

Jack1

Food...something so natural.

Not for my son, its something foreign, something painful.
Jack
hates to be fed.

This day was especially difficult but just as I was about
to give up,
he slowed to a whimper and allowed his brother
to finish his feeding.

I dare to dream...

I close my eyes and watch them giggle,
each with an icecream
smeared ear to ear...no pumps, no tubes, no pain...something so natural.

Heidi,

What an incredible portrait of beauty and pain.

Thankyou for sharing it,

Cassie

Ditto to Sally. Words can't describe it. What seems so natural to most is not what is always.

Heidi,

What an amazing photo. You know how much we LOVE little Jack. He is a little angel. It is beautiful to see his brother loving him like that. They are so bonded. With all that support and love...Jack is going to do just fine.

They look like old souls who just understand it all - without the vocabulary for what IT is. Sharing the same moment with such depth. Hearts connected.

I cried when I saw your photo. It may look like a regular feeding tube but to me it represents the bond between your boys. How special their love must be. Keep on dreaming with that kind of love anything is possible.
All my best to you and your family.

I love this photo. My youngest is in a wheelchair and so am I. At the end of the day we're both too tired to help ourselves, much less each other. Her older sisters often help bathe her at night and rub out her legs. This photo reminds me of that, and that siblings are a blessing. We parents won't be around forever...

This is a powerful photo, i love how it even touches on siblings and they are drawn into the crazy world we live in.

Heidi,

This is an astounding photo. It is just unreal and I can't even articulate how profound I find it.

Sally

Hi Heidi, nice to see a beautiful picture of your boys here. I was actually just thinking about you the other day, when my Jackson had on his "Chicks Dig Me" shirt from your Jack. Hope all is well.

Love this photo... I'm mom to a tube fed boy too....
